Stephanie Reid Borne

Owner / CEO

Stephanie Reid Borne is the Owner and CEO of Geaux Marketing Group and a graduate of Louisiana State University. While engaged in full-time roles in public relations and communications for statewide associations representing numerous small businesses, Stephanie recognized an ongoing necessity to provide marketing and website design assistance to small businesses and nonprofits. Since the establishment of Geaux Marketing Group in early 2020, Stephanie and her team have guided and supported over 150 businesses and nonprofits, aiding in their growth and success.

Philanthropy: Stephanie is a dedicated advocate, volunteer, and member of the Board of Directors for The Arc Baton Rouge and The Arc of Louisiana. The Arc organization is committed to advancing advocacy, inclusive programs, legislative backing, and daily services for individuals of all ages with special needs. Geaux Marketing Group contributes all its marketing services to further The Arc's mission and fundraising endeavors. In 2020, Stephanie addressed the Louisiana Legislature on the critical need for increased funding for centers like The Arc that cater to individuals with special needs. This year, Stephanie collaboratively authored and presented a new license plate bill alongside Senator Kleinpeter to the legislature, championing advocacy and inclusivity for all abilities. The Governor ratified the special needs license plate bill on May 13, 2024. Stephanie is presently collaborating with the Office of Motor Vehicles to finalize her design and introduce the license plate into circulation. Proceeds from the license plate will be allocated to organizations statewide that offer services to individuals with special needs. Stephanie holds a deep appreciation for the community and aspires to foster equal opportunities and services for individuals with all abilities.

"Balancing the demands of running a small business and contributing to the community is undeniably challenging. Sleep is a luxury, and I often find myself fueled by caffeine and the occasional leftover cookie from my kids. However, the rewards outweigh the sacrifices. If owning a business is your aspiration, I encourage you to reflect on it and take the plunge. When I initiated my company at the onset of a global pandemic, I was as a fearful, divorced, single mom with a dream. If I can do it, then you definitely can. And when you do succeed, remember to find ways to give back." - Stephanie
